Coaching is partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching helps to identify the current reality, the desired outcome, and then creating a plan to fill the gap between the two.
Kay has over twenty-five years' experience in coaching hundreds of pastors, church laity leaders, congregations, business leaders, and individuals across the country. Her coaching experience is both broad and deep. She has coached congregations through such processes as revitalization, visioning, moving to a simplified, accountable structure, and strategic planning. She has coached new church plants. She has coached pastors and church leadership through new awareness, accountability, missional focus, and so much more.
Mrs. Kotan spends her time investing in leaders through workshops, keynoting, coaching, and creating resources to help them discover and live into their fullest missional potential and effectiveness to reach people for Jesus Christ. Through her enthusiasm, truth-telling, and passion, she challenges those who encounter her in both their thinking and their doing.
Kotan is a credentialed coach through the ICF (International Coaching Federation) as a PCC (Professional Certified Coach). Kay has also served on the faculty of Coaching4Clergy and is a Path1 Certified Coach for the United Methodist Church.

I have been blessed to work with Kay as a coach for several years. She has guided me as my church went through major changes in administrative structure and has walked with me through the best and worst of my ministry to date. In Kay, I have found wise council, humor, vision and above all a deep and abiding faith in Christ and in the Church. She speaks the truth in such a way that even when I have not wanted to hear it, I find myself grateful she spoke. I frequently find returning to notes taken during our coaching sessions to glean guidance she has offered through the years. If you are fortunate enough to have Kay come beside you in this work we are called to, you will be strengthened in ways that go beyond simply gaining a skill set. You will find your foundation of faith firmer.
