TESTIMONIALS

What others are saying

"Grateful I had her in my corner"

"I connected with Kay as I started a new and very challenging appointment in a church with decades of decline and a severely underfunded budget. Kay's questions, insights, coaching, and encouragement were invaluable as I navigated my way through the first 18 months. She helped me find my feet, make some crucial early decisions, and process all I was learning and experiencing. I'm so grateful I had her in my corner as I adjusted to a new context and began to lay the foundations for the long, slow work of change." - Amy Lippoldt, Wichita First UMC

"Heartily endorse Kay"

"I heartily endorse Kay. My minister introduced me about 2 years ago as I was taking over the chair of our churches leadership team. Kay was very instrumental in helping me find a rhythm and balance in forming a group of volunteers into a cohesive team with the focus on creating disciples. She helped me with some early uncertainties I had with the tempo and topics of meetings. I am a much better, more confident leader with her valuable assistance." - Mark Aebig, Church Laity

"You will find your foundation of faith firmer"

"I have been blessed to work with Kay as a coach for several years. She has guided me as my church went through major changes in administrative structure and has walked with me through the best and worst of my ministry to date. In Kay, I have found wise council, humor, vision and above all a deep and abiding faith in Christ and in the Church. She speaks the truth in such a way that even when I have not wanted to hear it, I find myself grateful she spoke. I frequently find returning to notes taken during our coaching sessions to glean guidance she has offered through the years. If you are fortunate enough to have Kay come beside you in this work we are called to, you will be strengthened in ways that go beyond simply gaining a skill set. You will find your foundation of faith firmer." - Rev. Christina Hart-Perkins

"A tremendous difference"

"My first interactions with Kay Kotan began over the phone. It was a gift that she was the coach assigned to me as a pastor. With her skills and insights we began a professional relationship that has added greatly to my ministry, now for years. When I was at a crossroads regarding a major change in my career, she was the one I called. When I began to work to revitalize a church, Kay was my first choice as the person to coach our congregation. Her ability to help us discover truth, think strategically and live into an ever changing culture continues to be invaluable in our growing church. Kay is a person of integrity, adaptability, leadership and compassion whose contributions to my ministry and my life have made a tremendous difference. I am grateful for that first coaching call." - Rev. Lori Lampert, The Downtown Church Missouri Annual Conference of the UMC
