Innovating for Love - Cohort Experience
Featuring Kenda Creasy Dean
Hosted by Kay Kotan
“Innovating for love means holding our ideas for ministry loosely to make room for the
Holy Spirit’s work as well as ours, lest we drive ourselves (or others) into the ground.
Love surpasses our need to succeed. Innovative ministries mutate, adapt, change,
and when we no longer need their scaffolding to love people well, they fall away.
But love never fails.”
Is your church stuck?
Are you looking to impact your community in a fresh way?
Does your church have the desire to innovate, but just not sure where to start?
Gather your local church’s Innovation Team (Pastor and 3-5 lay people) and dive into this virtual six-session enlightening and interactive experience. Using the book, Innovating for Love: Joining God’s Expedition through Christian Social Innovation, (purchased by each participant at registration) and the Innovating for Love Guidebook (provided with registration), participants will discover:
The Map for Innovation
How to Determine the Church’s Readiness for Innovation
Having the Empathy Conversations
Chasing God’s Dreams
Determining What Makes a Good Idea
And Much More!
Each 90-minute session will include live time with Kenda sharing her insights and experience along with questions to guide your Innovation Team on their journey of discernment and discovery. An inspiring, real-life innovation story will be shared each session. Your Innovation Team will be provided time in a Breakout Room to process and determine next steps during each session. The provided Innovating for Love Guidebook will provide direction and steps for your Innovation Team throughout the Cohort experience.
